ADMISSION
The Board of Governors will apply the following criteria in the order set down to identify which children should be admitted either at initial admission to education or on transfer from another school.
1. Children who will have a brother or sister (including half, step and foster siblings) * in attendance in Iveagh Primary classes during the 2020/2021 school year.
2. Children whose brother or sister (including half, step and foster siblings) * previously attended Iveagh Primary classes.
3. Children for whom Iveagh Primary School is the nearest controlled primary school to the child’s home address. Distance will be measured in a straight line from the school to the child’s home address using the ‘Linear Distance Calculator’ on O.S.N.I website. Location of child’s home and school will be taken as the pinpoint shown from an address search on ACEmap Plot (also available on O.S.N.I. website).
4 Children for whom Iveagh Primary School is not the nearest controlled primary school to the child’s home address. Distance will be measured in a straight line from the school to the child’s home address using the ‘Linear Distance Calculator’ on O.S.N.I website. Location of child’s home and school will be taken as the pinpoint shown from an address search on ACEmap Plot (also available on O.S.N.I. website).
* IT IS THE PARENT’S OBLIGATION TO ENSURE ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION IS INCLUDED ON THE APPLICATION FORM.
Should over subscription occur at stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 selection will be based upon the following sub criteria which will be applied in order:
a)Children living closest to the school. Distance will be measured in a straight line from the school to the child’s home address using the ‘Linear Distance Calculator’ on O.S.N.I website. Location of child’s home and school will be taken as the pinpoint shown from an address search on ACEmap Plot (also available on O.S.N.I. website).
b)Alphabetical order of the surname.
c)Alphabetical order of the forename.
